William Knuff

Will is the founder and managing partner of Event Capital Partners LLC (“ECP”), and investment manager of Event Value Fund, L.P. Established in 2011, Event Value Fund makes value and event based investments, focusing on small/mid cap companies. Prior to founding ECP, Will was a managing director at Tano Capital LLC where he served as a manager of its $99.6 million India PE Fund I, as head of Investor Relations, and as a director of other funds. Prior to 2006, he was a principal at Sutter Capital Management where he invested in special situations and acquired operating businesses through Sutter Holding Company. Prior to this, Will was an investment banker at Robertson Stephens specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Will has served on the boards of ABG Motors (India), C-Brite, Diversified Risk Insurance Brokers (now part of HUB International), NOCA, Prandium, Sutter Holding Company, Tano China PE Fund, and Tano India PE Fund I. He is president of the Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club Foundation, a member of the advisory board of SocialVenu, and an alumni fundraiser for Groton School. Will received a master’s degree from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a California registered investment advisor, a member of the American Association of Individual Investors, and a student of behavioral economics.
